Oh yes, we are dorks.  Mom's will be mom's no matter how old you are.  And mom's will continue to embarass their children no matter how old you are.  We went to the MSU Dairy Store after a full day of zoo-ing and MSU apparel shopping.  Christina and I decided we should go because we had only been once to the MSU Dairy Store and that was at our freshman orientation at Michigan State.  It is probably the best ice cream you will ever have (and let's be honest, I have had a lot of ice cream to compare it too!  MSU, being an agricultural school, has probably some of the best dairy around).  Well anyway, not only was it our second time there, it was my mom's first time!  I can not believe we call ourselves MSU alumn and have only been there once or in my mom's case no times.  So what does my mom do, like any other embarassing mom... she pulls out her camera to document her first time at the MSU Dairy Store!

Only coming back home for five days we had to cram in a lot of things to a short amount of time.  So each day we did about two big things.  Today we headed off to Anna's house to play with Hannah and Teagan.  They are all so adorable.  Breslin has surpassed Tea in height, continuing to be a super tall toddler, but Teagan and Hannah surpass him in smarts (hahaha).  In the evening we went to Ukai (a japanese steakhouse) to celebrate Austin's graduation.  Today was the type of day that truly made me miss living in Michigan.  I got to see almost all of my friends and family out here.  Our family is so tight knit that it is a struggle to head back to California without them, and my friends, well it is just fun to see our kiddos hanging out with each other.  Even though they are so tiny and young, they all know each other's names when they play, and will talk about each other when they are not with each other.  I can not wait until the next time they get to meet up!

This was Breslin's first trip to Grand Haven.  It was slightly chilly in the a.m. but once the fog lifted it was an absolutely gorgeous day in "Pure Michigan."

Doug, Kim, Breslin, me, Grade, Caleb, and Brady.  My old time coach and long time friend Kim lives in Grand Rapids, so on our way back from the beach we stopped by for some catching up and some fabulous dinner!  It is always a good time seeing them.  I can't believe how fast her kiddos are growing!

Night 4:  Tonight was about to be the best night of musicians, but there was a darn storm looming in the distance so each performer had to cut their set down in half (and poor Jake Owen only sang one song).  The artists for the last night of CMA Music Fest 2013 were Gary Allan, Brad Paisley, the Band Perry, Jake Owen, and Carrie Underwood.  Although the night was cut short we had an unbelievable time. 

Thank you to Karen who told us about the CMA Music Fest.  I can see this becoming an annual trip!  We had a blast!

After being cooped up in an airplane flying to Nashville we found this park for Breslin to play in.  This park was funded by Taylor Swift after the big floods that hit Nashville a few years back.  She came in and helped purchase all new equipment for this playground that had been all underwater.
